Telephone Calls

During normal office hours (9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday), your calls will be answered by one of our staff members.  The staff member will take all the necessary information and relay this to the doctor.  Depending on the nature of the call, either the doctor or the staff member will call you back.  Please be assured that all calls and messages are thoroughly reviewed by the physician personally.  Return calls by the staff are made throughout the day.  Return calls that need to be made by the doctor are usually made at the end of the working day.  Emergencies are handled immediately.

Some telephone calls will require more time.  There is a weekly telephone clinic to accommodate these calls.  If you would have to travel a significant distance to come to Baltimore, you may be given a telephone appointment first to be sure you should make the trip.  Dr. Long will call you during the scheduled time.  Office personnel will schedule the time for you.
